The Screen – Your Window to the Digital World
The screen is the most visible and most used part of a tablet. Most modern tablets use LCD or OLED displays, both made up of millions of tiny pixels that together form images and text.
- LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens use a backlight and are known for their energy efficiency and accurate color reproduction.
- OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) screens can show deeper blacks and higher contrast because each pixel lights up individually.
The screen is covered by a layer of hardened glass and a touch-sensitive layer that detects your finger movements. This technology makes it possible to swipe, zoom, and type with just a touch.
